Essential oils in different combination can create attractive aromas and also can be useful in therapeutic application. Essential oil prepared for aromatherapy is for specific therapeutic usage referred as essential oil synergy. The aromatherapy oils available in market for different usage may not 100% natural and made from essential oils. Thus on purchasing these oil products, one need to be very careful. Products containing artificial ingredients do not provide true aromatherapy benefits. Essential oils do not become rancid; they can oxidize, deteriorate and may lose their beneficial therapeutic properties over time. To preserve the aromatic and therapeutic properties of essential oils, it must be stored in amber and cobalt blue bottles. Dark glass with amber or cobalt helps to keep out deteriorating sunlight.
